Non-Living Life? Possible?

I found this article last month about non-living life: http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/09/biologists-on-t.html. Scientists are creating it using RNA of chemical fatty cells. And it's working, they are replicating...they could indeed turn into something new. A new life form...unlike what we are used to, unlike what we normally believe life to be! This will be interesting to see...or will it? For now they are not quite at the stage, but...one day they will turn chemical into biological! WOAH! This is an interesting time in science...
Another sharing of information by moi! Enjoy! :)

Yes, I did take the picture...just last weekend at EPCOT in the China area. :)

Booop! Irises (Eye color)

I started this blog a couple weeks ago...and I haven't been back. Things have been crazy! I had so many things I was interested in...I wanted to share and talk about, but everything else got in the way. Now I look at this and think what do I want to start with...and realize tonight...I just don't know. Booooop!

So how about eye color? For some reason it has started to fascinate me again...mine are hazel, or multicolor (as you can see above). I took these close-ups of mine. And woah! They are not solid! I have green & brown & even some yellow in them! I usually say mine are more green, but I've been told they look brown. And with looking at my pictures realize WE ARE ALL RIGHT.

So, I looked up at wikipedia...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_color. Brown is the most common eye color, followed by blue (with blue being very recessive). Apparently true green eyes are the most rare at only 1-2% of the world's population. Notice..mine are not solid green...so hazel by our US terminology.

Hazel eyes are due to a combination of a Rayleigh scattering and a moderate amount of melanin in the iris' anterior border layer. Hazel eyes often appear to shift in color from a light brown to a medium golden-green.

I noticed this morning my eyes seemed more green...so perhaps as the day goes on they appear more brown? Also I notice how different light showed different colors. I couldn't decide which picture was the best...so I put 3 of the best up. I did take over 20 pics of my eyeballs! Heh. Don't you love the reflection of my hands & camera! I think they'd come out better without those, but this is the best images I have right now of my eyes.

How about your eye color? Try taking a macro pic and see if you see more colors in it, like I noticed in mine!

Thanks for reading! heh. Random? :)

Start

I am starting this blog to share and discuss things that I like learning about, just learned about, and want to learn more about! It could be any topic and it just might be random how often I post! I am rediscovering the blog! Hah. Hmm or maybe just discovering! I hope you enjoy! I hope you share and discuss with me! Thank you!
